CORGI

Corgi’s founder, Rhys Jones, started the business in 1892 by making thigh-high woollen socks for local Welsh coal miners. To this day the factory located in the same small Welsh mining village, employing local crafts people to make traditional socks, knitwear and accessories. They are proud to have been Royal warrant holders since 1989. Committed to reducing their environmental impact, their factory is powered wholly by renewable source energy and they only use natural fibres such as cotton, wool and cashmere. By investing in new machinery, they aim to increase efficiencies and reduce environmental impacts. They have a low packaging policy and use biodegradable polybags made from sugar cane. We have been working with Corgi since the relaunch of Aubin in 2021 to develop our much-loved colourful array of traditional handmade socks.
