This is a heavyweight knit that says ‘autumnal’ like bonfire smoke and a quiet pint by an open fire. British-made from certified British wool, the Earl is an ecru ensemble with a muted stripe inspired by the countryside and rugby colours, with football buttons and a chunky shawl collar that feels like a built-in scarf. Pop this on in early October and you can pretty much leave it on until March.
