On one of those blisteringly hot August weekends (yes we did have a few), we headed to the coast to go backstage at Boardmasters to catch up with Tors. Luckily they were very happy to show off some of our new Autumn collection before their performance.

Who are your musical heroes?


Such a tricky question! If we’re speaking current artists then we absolutely idolise Coldplay, we also love The Lumineers, Noah Kahan and The Killers. But we’re also heavily influenced by a lot of older acts, the 1970s is a particular era we love - acts like the Eagles, America, Don McLean, John Denver etc.

Why and how did you guys get together?


Matt and I (Theo) are brothers so we met when I was born, we’d always done music separately growing up but funnily enough it was writing a song for a Jack Wills advert that brought us together creatively - we never looked back from that. We met Jack in a Wetherspoons in Guildford years ago and we’ve been an unshakable trio ever since.

Best gig this year?


That’s a tough one, we loved our headline show in London at The Islington, it was wild to play to 1000 people who had travelled from all over the world to be there - we also had a very surreal night playing to 15,000 people in Zurich, that was a true highlight but our favourite gig has to be Glastonbury! It’s always been a dream of ours to perform there and we got the chance to play two different stages this year, it was a real hallmark moment for us.

Where’s your dream venue to perform in?

In the U.K. it’s Wembley stadium of course, bit of a pipe dream but undeniably the coolest place to get to perform in! Outside of England then it has to be Red Rocks, we’ve watched so many live streams of shows there and the surroundings and atmosphere are mind blowing.

Who would you like to perform a duet with past or present?


We’d love to have sang onstage with the Eagles, imagine that many harmonies!

What’s in the future for you as a band?


Well we’re currently on a sold out European headline tour, which is such a mad thing to be saying and we feel incredibly lucky right now. After that we’ve got more gigs planned in America and some very exciting other shows we can’t quite talk about yet. We’re also releasing an awful lot of new music and trying to take over the world one fan at a time
